SciAps X-550 Handheld XRF Analyzer Manual For Sale with a Best Price establishes a new benchmark for portable XRF performance. With the battery included, it weighs 2.98 lbs. (1.3 kg), making it the lightest, fastest, and most articulate X-ray pistol ever produced. It is a perfectly balanced gadget that combines the tiny size, lightning-fast speed, and great precision of the SciAps X Series. It works quickly on all metals, including aluminum. Compared to the SciAps X-505 and other handheld XRF analyzers, the X-550 operates at up to three times the power in the Beam 2 setting thanks to its usage of the most powerful X-ray tube in the industry. For low atomic number measurement applications, such as sulfidic corrosion (low Si), phosphorus and sulfur, and aluminum alloys, as well as for residuals analysis in accordance with API 751 and 5L requirements, the special shape and tube power maximize performance.
Uses SciAps X-550 NDT-PMI Provides PMI with exceptional precision for the majority of alloys in 1 second.
Longer tests or numerous beam tests are necessary for some NDT-PMI applications. Our Android app-based platform offers pre-configured, specialized apps, such as those for residuals (API 751), sulfidic corrosion (API 939), API 5L, and other testing, to make quality testing by any operator as simple as using a smartphone. optimized for Sulfidic Corrosion and Residuals, two important PMI applications.
For the verification of alloy grade and geochemistry in many PMI applications, quick testing are adequate. Longer test times or multi-beam procedures (one beam designed for transition and heavy metals, the other for low atomic number elements Mg, Si, Al, P, and S) are needed for more complex applications. Tests should be conducted according to prescribed test times and X-ray beam parameters, which are ensured by dedicated programs. For instance, because Ni, Cr, and Cu must be measured at <0.03% each (total <0.15%), and Nb and V at <0.02%, the Residuals app defaults to 15-second test periods. According to the preset configuration of the Sulfidic Corrosion app, two-beam tests are necessary to measure Si in steels down to 0.03%.
Designed to enable NDT and PMI users to reach difficult-to-reach welds and test sites.
With its excellent balance, low weight, and expressiveness, you can test without feeling tired all day. The small footprint allows complete access to almost any weld and test area .
excellent on precious metals and high temperature alloys.
The -550, like most XRFs, offers quick, accurate chemistry on a variety of high temperature alloys, stainless steel, red metals, and precious metals. What sets this metal-framed analyzer apart is its extreme low weight (less than 2.8 pounds) and flawless balance. Sort with it all day long without getting tired. The Bluetooth label printer produces instant hard copy labels with time/date stamp, grade ID, and chemical, and the on-board cell phone camera (macro camera) enables photo-documentation of goods evaluated.
With the Aluminum App: Sort every alloy you own in 1-2 seconds.
The X-550’s lightning-fast speed and accuracy on aluminum alloys are the only factors that should convince a scrap processor to choose it over the X-505. Our patent-pending Aluminum App is available on the X-550. It takes 1-2 seconds to sort your aluminum alloys, even the ones with the same magnesium (Mg) percentage. A few instances of grades that required minutes of testing time or were impossible to sort with other XRFs are 3003/3004/3005, cast 356 and 357, and 2014/2024. Many similar Al grades can now be economically sorted. Check out our “Aluminum Alloy Sorting Guide.”
contaminating sulfur and phosphorus.
By quickly analyzing the levels of phosphorus (P) in copper and sulfur (S) in steels and stainless steel, you may enhance your copper and ferrous materials at a reasonable cost by using the X-550’s powerful X-ray tube. Compared to the X-505 or other rival XRFs, the X-550 is three times quicker on P and S. It is more cost-effective to upgrade material for low P and S with faster testing times.
Compound Components.
Grade sorting is no longer the only aspect of scrap processing. These days, a lot of customers want analysis on tramp or residual elements in typical alloys like copper, nickel, and steel. Low detection limits on common tramp elements, including as Cr, Ni, Cu, V, Nb, and Mo in steels, Pb and Bi in nickel alloys, and a variety of undesirable elements in copper alloys, are the focus of the X-505’s optimization.
